The Gateway Plan
is designed for people who are settlers/residents of France and are in the process of joining the French NHS by one of the options normally open to them. There may be delays in processing an Application to the French Authority and receiving written confirmation of membership. The Gateway Plan is a catastrophe policy covering Accident, Emergency, and any necessary medical treatment as a hospital inpatient. In effect, it is charged by days of cover and cancelled on the receipt of confirmation of membership.
